Product Review: Pop Chef by Idea Village

20131029-195325.jpgThis post is Day 6 for National Blog Posting Month on Blogher.

I am really excited about this review. I first saw the Pop Chef by Idea Village at my local Bed, Bath & Beyond when shopping for new pots and pans. It’s bright packaging immediately caught Orange’s attention. Of course she thought it was a toy though. It’s not. But it is very cool.

When I was contacted by to receive the product for free in exchange for a review, I jumped on the chance. We’ve since used this for a variety of things.

We made star shaped pear as a breakfast treat:

We created fun jelly sandwiches for preschool snack:

And we even surprised Princess Daddy with a spaced out pizza:

I can’t wait for melon season to have large slices of fruit to play with. It’s a little time consuming for every day use. But for a special surprise, it’s well worth the fun.

20131029-195337.jpgThe pop feature works well. The cutters themselves aren’t very sharp (which made for tricky pepperoni trimming but otherwise, no problems yet.) Orange had a good time cutting the shapes since it wasn’t dangerous for her to handle. She didn’t quite get the concept behind the “pop” to release part. She is only 4 though. I had no issues at all.

I definitely recommend this fun addition to your kitchen collection.
